Vancouver 2010

We had the privilege of going to the headquarters
of the Vancouver Olympic Committee today.
It was a wonderful field trip!
The children were treated to a variety of experiences...
they even got to hold one of the actual Olympic torches
used for the torch relay taking place across Canada right now.
(Notice that the torch has burn marks on it...that's because it was used).
Vancouver is hosting the 2010 Winter Olympics
in only 98 more days ~ Go Canada! :)

Wanting What I Have said...

WOW! That is so cool! What a neat thing to get to do!

Your comment about the "sand box" cracked me up! The thing is, this is all SO new to me! I don't have any brothers and spent very little time with my only boy cousin...so the total insanity...the daring, adventurous spirit, the fascination with how all things work...it's all so new to me. Don't get me wrong, I am loving it! It just blows me away consistently! Llke your fireplace story...my sisters and I would have cleaned it and played house...know what I mean? We would never have turned the ashes into a "sand box!" Boys are crazy fun! :) He makes me laugh all the time.

Christa ~ We ALL had a great time...Mum included! Who said homeschool is hard on the Mum?? :)

Terri ~ So glad you stopped by! :)

J ~ ok...how about the time when one of my boys ATE a black fuzzy caterpillar...really, he did! AND then the next day saw another and squealed like it was dessert! Obviously forgetting that the previous encounter had made him throw up! YES...they are cut from a different kind of cloth that we "playing house" kind of people don't readily understand. BUT...FUN...oh my! :)

Nadine ~ I think enjoying them from home is a great idea! :)

Blessings,
Camille

How exciting Camille :) Great photos! Will you and your family be able to go to the Olympics? I really enjoy the Winter Olympics, especially the figure skating :) I would love to go to Canada some day, both my husband and I are French Canadian.

Blessings,
Sharon

Hi Sharon ~ We are hoping to attend at least one event...we are just looking into it. Figure skating is one of my favourites too (Emma would agree)...but we am outnumbered...ours is primarily a HOCKEY family! :)

How interesting that you are French Canadian! If you ever come to the west coast you must stop by for tea! :)

Blessings,
Camille
