What a lovely way to celebrate a birthday party for a little girl - I LOVE the real tea cups. Who says that children have to have paper cups and plates. These pictures remind me of my 2nd birthday in England which my mother chose to celebrate with a proper English tea. The table was also set with pretty pink china. My daughter who turns 13 this year has said she would like a very special afternoon tea to celebrate. It is a lovely British tradition I'm happy to pass on also!

Camille,
So nice to "meet" you, too! I love your name and your blog. They're both simply lovely. The tea party is beautiful...a great idea to do with my daughter for her 10th birthday, perhaps. Thanks for the encouragement today.

Heather ~ It was so much fun for all of us! Thanks for your encouragement! :)

Nadine ~ I trust we will both have fun memories of it ~ thanks for your kind words! :)

Christa ~ It is precious to have these moments with our GIRL...sometimes I still pinch myself...I never thought I would have these opportunities! :)

Stacie ~ Too funny...you and Jackie really are identical twins ~ look at your comments! I love it!! Those candles were just at the grocery store where they sell the cake decorating stuff...maybe they have them in your store? :)

Jackie ~ I had to chuckle that you and your sister both had similar comments...and one right after the other too...very fun! Emma likes those candles and helped me pick them out...they don't last long though. :)

Ann ~ Oh how lovely that you know about the proper British Tea...how wonderful that your daughter wants to have a tea party birthday party! I agree...china is to be used and enjoyed!! It makes it so special! :)

Cindy ~ It is so wonderful to be able to do these things isn't it! I'm sure your girl has fond memories of her special party...what fun you did that with her! :)

Cinnamon ~ Thanks for your sweet encouragement...I enjoy seeing what others do too...it helps in the ideas department! :)

Trisha ~ Thanks for stopping by and for your sweet compliments! :) Oh I am sure your girl would *love* a tea party...it's not difficult to do, but it leaves such a big impression! Enjoy!

Blessings,
Camille

J ~ It was actually easier than other birthday parties I have done...the girls were old enough to be like little ladies and the majority of the time was spent around the table. Such delight! :)

Sharon ~ Oh how wonderful to do these special things. Have you ever done somthing similar with your ladies at church? I'm sure you have! :)

Camille

This totally reminds me of the sweet tea party we had for Victoria, now 14, then 6. It was so fun and so precious!

Then, I think when she was 11 or so, we had a Maidens of Virtue tea party and invited a few godly friends and their mamas to speak words of wisdom into her young heart. It was so sweet. Wonderful memories.

Oh how lovely and special! I love your beautiful table and cupcakes. We often have afternoon tea just with Abby and me, but it makes me want to plan another tea party now with friends!

Dear Michelle ~ I *love* that idea of having a party where the older ladies speak to the younger with words of wisdom! How precious that you shared that with your girl! It's beautiful! :)

Camille

Dear Teresa ~ You visited while I was writing out comments, so I missed you until now! Tea parties with friends are very special, but how lovely that you have afternoon tea just with your daughter...such precious times!! :)
