Our Plum Tree ~ Thoughts...

In our back yard we have an old growth fruit bearing plum tree ~
it's glorious at this time of the year with all it's lovely blooms.
It reminds me of a favourite passage of Scripture.
I have quoted it below ~
I pray that it might encourage your heart as it does mine!

Psalm 1

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the LORD;
and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,
that bringeth forth his fruit in his season;
his leaf also shall not wither;
and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

The ungodly are not so:
but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous:
but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

~ Holy Bible ~

I love this passage. I memorized it in grade 2! We all had to stand as a class and quote it each morning. Love the photo too!

Thanks for sharing your flowering tree in your lawn. Spring is so beautiful with it's flowers. I spent time out at the tulip field east of town late afternoon and into early evening. I photographed alot and just love it out there. So beautiful with all the colors of his creation. God bless, my friend.

Dear Jenn ~ It's a wonderful Psalm to hide in your heart, isn't it! :)

Dear Heather ~ How blessed you were to have been at a school that valued the Scriptures!! God is GOOD! :)

Dear Raeann ~ It's probably still there...try it out! Amazing how God's Word is like that...it resurfaces when we thought it left long ago! Powerful! :)

Dear Becky ~ How wonderful that you could go to a tulip field! I bet you got some gorgeous pics!! God's creation indeed is AMAZING! :)

Camille,
It's been awhile since I stopped by your site. Teaparties, flowers, Psalms, hymns, playlists, it is all such an encouragement to me.

I'm going to borrow your idea of yours. I have a young ladies' discipleship group that meets at my house. This Fri. the lesson is on gratefulness. I think we'll all start a numbered list like you have, and next time we meet I'll offer a prize for the person with the longest list. It may take some incentive to develop a habit. I just love how you find joy in the simple pleasures. Thank you!

Dear Lois ~

So encouraging to hear that YOU are encouraged!! :) May the LORD bless you all as you begin this journey of thankfulness ~ it has truly been a blessing to me! AND it is not my idea...Ann Voskamp came up with it, so I cannot take credit at all! What a gem she is! :) Have a lovely week!

Blessings,
Camille
