Easiest Brownies

I have been buying dehydrated cane juice for awhile now.
Recently I ordered a new brand (cheaper) from Amazon.
On the back of each package was this recipe.

Oh. Dear. Me.

Super easy and super yummy!
I have made them a few times now...
they are my new favourite brownie recipe.

Rich.
Dark.
Chocolatey.

They only take 30 minutes from the
mixing bowl to the table ~
Hardly a deterrent!!

Here goes...
make them if you dare!
LOL!

~ Easiest Brownies ~

~ Ingredients ~

1/2 cup Butter (1 stick), melted
1 cup Sucanat
(you could substitute brown sugar)
1/2 cup Cocoa powder
2 Eggs
1 cup Flour
1 tsp Vanilla
1/4 tsp Sea Salt
1/2 cup Chocolate Chips

~ Method ~

Grease a 9x9 inch pan and set aside.
Heat oven to 375* F.
Combine sugar, butter, cocoa powder, salt and vanilla.
Add eggs and blend well.
Add flour, then chocolate chips and stir till well blended.
Scrape into pan and spread evenly.

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until done ~
I found they were ready in 20 minutes.

Enjoy...
just don't blame me! *wink*

Camille, those brownies do look good. Now I would have to add a heavy layer of chocolate pudding on top, too :) :)

Curious, why dehydrated cane juice? What do you use it with? Also curious about ordering it from Amazon. I know some of my other friends have done that for special things!!

Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

Care to guess what we will have for dessert tonight? :-)

I think I will try them with the raw sugar and whole wheat pastry flour and see how they turn out.

Pictures tomorrow! ~wink~

Thank you Camille!
Brownies are Gentleman Farmers favorite dessert! I don't make them as often as he would like because I would eat too many!
With this recipe, perhaps he will get them a little more often and if I eat them, it will be (a little) better for me! ;~P
Blessings!

Heather in Oregon ~ Dehydrated cane juice is an unrefined sugar cane product that can be substituted one for one for refined sugar. It is sugar in its natural form...much better for you! :) Amazon is a great place to order from...many of their items are cheaper than would be found elsewhere and I order many things that come with *free* shipping...great deal! :)

Dianna ~ Oh yes...they will be just fine! Substituting whole wheat pastry flour is a great idea! I hope you enjoy them. :)

Raeann ~ Oh I hope they pass the *test* at your home! If you do as Dianna is planning and use whole wheat pastry flour, I think they could pass as breakfast. ;-)

Blessings,
Camille
