If You See it...Say it!

"If you see it...say it!"

I cannot tell you how many times my husband
has said this to us over the years.
I have no idea where it came from ~
But it is full of truth and love.
That is, as long as what we have to say is something good!
There are also those times when
we ought to say NOTHING at all.

Having cleared that up....

If you notice something nice someone has done,
tell them you appreciate it.
If you are thankful for something,
express it.

Very simple, right?

Let's put it into practice
in our marriages and see what happens!
I'm thinking only good can come of it. :)

"Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt,
that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man."
~ Colossians 4:6 ~

Yes, very true.. :) :) Plus, the person who hears those nice words will feel encouraged, too :) :) Speaking of which, thanks for always sharing good things from Scripture etc :) :) Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

Dear Camille,

Thank you for another wonderful and encouraging post! I just love that verse in Colossians and I can remember when I first read it as a new Believer :) I was so excited and encouraged.

I always 'say it' :) and Michael does too. Time is too short and life is to precious to not make someone smile and encourage them. Remind them of truly how special they are.

Congratulations to Austin and Emma!!! Yay, smooth teeth!

Have a blessed evening my friend!

Oooo, you're going to love One Thousand Gifts, my friend! I will not be a spoiler...and you know what it's about anyway. But yes, SAY IT! Out loud! It's a good thing!
Love to you!
Tami

Love your words.
Love your photos.
Love how you encourage women to love their husbands. We often think it's in "doing" so much for them, but in reality, the words we speak are usually of more consequence... or the silence we keep :)

HUGE blizzard roaring outside my window right now! Don't you wish you lived here? :)

Camille,

This is so very true. How easy it is to point faults we see in others...but how much more of a blessing to others and ourselves when we tell them how much we love and appreciate them. Thank you for this word of encouragement.

Dear Tami ~ I'm glad you didn't *spill the beans*...my copy is waiting for a pick-up across the line (where I go to pick up packages)...just got the notice today! I'm so looking forward to it. :)

Dear Heather in Ontario ~ LOL...no, I don't wish I lived there! (Except that we could have *tea*...THAT would be fun!) Thank you for always being such an encouragement....I appreciate you. :)

Dear Jackie ~ Thank you for your sweet and encouraging words today...you are a blessing to me. :)

Many blessings to each and every one of you!

In His Love,

What a precious post, Camille. When all is said and done, the words that are praiseworthy really are the only words worth repeating.

I came over from Ann’s today

You are so right. Only good can come of it. We so often fail to build up the ones we are closest to. Thank you for this.

God Bless and Keep

We are so quick to say bad things we are thinking..we need to turn that around and say the Good things...
Eph 4:29
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouth, but only what is helpful for building up others and according to their needs
that it may benefit thos who listen..
