Boys and Their Toys

Last year for Christmas
I bought Howie and Calvin each a
remote controlled helicopter.

At the mall.
For a price.

I didn't purchase the
As it turned out,
that might have been a
good idea!

They broke.
Both of them.
In short order.

Fast forward to this Christmas.
Add another boy (Austin)
who requested one.
Fraser had no interest.

Calvin found them
online through Amazon
for half he price I paid last year.
Three were ordered.

And this year,
they already know how to fly!
B.O.N.U.S. :)

This is what I saw
attached to my computer
over the Christmas break...

Are you an online shopper?
I find that it makes my
life a little simpler ~
With the added bonus of
some great savings.
What a blessing! :)

Have a happy day!

**One thing to note ~
Amazon's prices fluctuate.
The helicopters I bought were
$10 cheaper than they are listed
for right now.

Very fun. I am an online shopper, seldom go to the malls. Amazon and Overstock.com are two of my favorites. Have a wonderful day and enjoy those children

It is so convenient to just order online but I do both ~ online and local shopping. The airplanes look fun!

I also bought one of my sons one of those helicopters, maybe I should have bought all the boys (and that includes my husband) in the house one of their own as they all wanted to give it a test flight when it arrived!
I am an online shopper - I buy most of our clothing online at greatly discounted prices. Books are also bought online especially as so many companies offer free shipping. I do love browsing in a real bookstore but the cost of books is so much more than online, I tend to go home and buy them online. And with our dollar having parity with the US dollar for some time it has been very beneficial for us to order out of the States. We just bought new door handles for our home from NY. Beautiful quality and a style that is impossible to find here. They took a week to reach us! Even with shipping it was still cheaper to buy them from the US. I have a wishlist of Vision Forum resources I would like to purchase this year so keeping my eye on the exchange rate!
Hope you are having a lovely week.

OH, I hope those flying helicopters last a bit longer this time around :) :) I have done some on-line shopping, mostly for books. My aunt has purchased some appliances. So far we've had really good experiences with that...and yes, we have found some good deals that way, too :) :) Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)

This is what my 9 year old wants for his birthday. Maybe you can e-mail me the link, my friend. What fun! Love you!

Dear Maryann ~ I'm with you on the malls! I'll have to check out Overstock...I am a *regular* Amazon user. :)

Dear Patty ~ They had so much fun with them over the break! :)

Dear Ann ~ How wonderful that your dollar is doing so well and that you have been able to take advantage of some great deals online! LOL! I know what you mean about the helicopters. I couldn't leave my husband out! :)

Dear Heather ~ Oh yes, they have lasted longer. The pilots are more experienced this year. :) Yippee for finding good deals online! Appliances?? Wow!

Dear Trisha ~ Done. And I also included the link in the post. I hope your son enjoys it. I'm sure he will! :)

Many Blessings,

Can't believe your post...my SIL did exactly the same thing last year for the boys...and don't think the helicopters made it till spring.

This year Daniel picked Ethan's name and so he bought Ethan a bigger one...and it still works LOL. Daniel got a RC car instead.

And yes...I seem to see the same thing attached to their computer.:-)

Dear Connie ~ It sounds like a similar story in their home! LOL! Well...live and learn. :) What a blessing it is to have these men to bring up for the LORD! May HE give us wisdom to do it well. :)

Many Blessings,

Hello Camille :)

Boys and their toys :) How fun! I have 2 brothers and I just know that I would have had to have one along with them :)

I am an online shopper. We do not have many stores in our small city. I love Amazon, Vitacost (for healthy and organic products, Mountain Rose Herbs and much more :))

Sharon :)

Dear Sharon ~ Thank you for sharing *Vitacost* with me...I will have to check it out! Hmmm...as for the helicopters...I think you may be right! Emma has flown theirs and done just fine at it. :)
