In the Time of Trouble ~ An Update

Howie and Austin are on their way home from Children's Hospital.
They met with two specialists this morning ~
Our cardiologist and another cardiologist who is also an electrophysiologist.
She has further training beyond cardiology.

She carefully reviewed Austin's case,
and spent about an hour
with Austin and Howie explaining everything thoroughly to them.

What a blessing!

As I understand it, the way forward is as follows.
Austin is to continue to take the heart medication recently re-introduced.
He is to carefully listen to his heart and to go to the ER if anything
*out of the ordinary* should happen.

Another Holter Monitor has been ordered for one month from now.
Austin's Tachycardia was detected on his most recent Holter ~
which was just read this week. Hence, the urgent appointments today at Children's.

Unless the LORD heals our son, a pacemaker will be required.
Timing is yet to be determined.
They like to put it off until absolutely necessary ~ It's a last resort.

The goal now is to get him stabilised.
We, of course, continue to pray for healing.
But, we know the LORD's ways often are not ours.

They are better.

The following are precious verses that the LORD used

to encourage my heart this morning as
we processed the news of Austin's need for a pacemaker.
How Great and Wonderful our Heavenly Father is!!

"The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"

"For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion:
in the secret of His tabernacle shall He hide me;
He shall set me up upon a rock."

"Wait on the LORD: be of good courage,
and He shall strengthen thine heart; wait, I say, on the LORD."
~ Psalm 27 verses 1, 5 and 14 ~

May the LORD encourage you this day!

With Love, Camille

Camille,
Thank you for the update. Our church family continues to pray for you all, as I do, too, of course. I love you and hope to connect very soon. What a blessing it is to have a foundation built on our Lord and Savior during these times of trial. My heart just doesn't know how those without Him manage from day to day. xo

Praying daily for Austin. I have lived with Tachychardia for 15 years now, mine obviously isn't as severe as Austin's is, but I know how much it wears a person out. I can just imagine how drained he is.

Those verses in from Psalm 27 are some that I have been clinging to lately, also. So powerful!

Love you, my friend, and praying for you, too!

Camille,

I too am praying for your son's healing. God does work in mysterious ways…sometimes He heals with no other means, other times He uses doctors. Praying that our Jehovah Rapha heals Austin completely without intervention. But, if not, praying for the doctor's wisdom and hands when and if he must face this surgery. Praying for God's peace for your family. I can only imagine the heartache you feel at times. But, I am so thankful that you know the One who heals hearts as well. Tell Austin he has a family praying for him in Oklahoma! Love to you all!

Dear Jenn ~ And now I learn something new about you!! I will be thinking of you in this regard and praying for you too my friend. Thank you for sharing a little more of your life with me. It's a blessing to know you. Thank you for praying for Austin!

Dear Jackie ~ How lovely it is to belong to the Family of our Great God! Yes, indeed...HE is able to do above what we ask or think! Thank you so much for praying my friend...you are a blessing!

Much Love to you each one!

I am so sorry for this turn of events, Camille {{hugs}} My eldest daughter was born with SVT (Supra Ventricular Tachycardia) and though not as life threatening as in Austin's situation..it was still pretty scary! God has been faithful through it all though and I know He has Austin in the Palm of His Hand too.

Thinking of you and praying for God's Peace and Assurance to fill your hearts and minds as you keep stayed in Him.

Thank you for the update as I have been continuing to pray. I hope the medicine can help him and he can avoid the pacemaker as much as possible. The one good thing is Dr's know more about the heart now then most other organs. I pray they find the right solutions for him and bring your family peace of mind.
Sending big hugs!!

Blessings,
Jill
