Art Incorporated

A few new pieces of art have recently been added to our home.
Calvin had some calendars printed which included a number of his photos.
The one he made for me had carefully selected Bible verses added to the pictures....love!

Last summer, my Dad created some more of his beautiful drawings.
He shared one of them with us.  A Grizzly mama bear with her cub is
featured in it with one of the Rocky Mountains in the background.
It currently lives in the office area of our home.

Do you remember this?  Well, that led to this, which resulted in this.

We've had this frame for a number of years, but, it was never put to use.
Once the bathroom had a fresh coat of paint, I was inspired to hang art.
Guess where the picture came from?  An old calendar.  Free!
It's hanging on the wall to the left in the photo above.

The hand towel rack that had been pulled out of the wall needed
to be installed in a different spot than it had previously been in.
And, these two little plaques go perfectly in the space created.

I especially love the Bible verses featured on them.
What precious promises the Lord gives His people!!

So, there you have it.  Art incorporated.
How do you incorporate art into your home?
What is your favourite tip for doing it frugally?

Happy Weekend Y'all!
With Love, Camille

I have been thinking of getting calendars made from and of my blog - for the upcoming year! But, so far haven't found the "just right" means to have them get made... meaning I am picky about what I want to look like overall... and with that keep the price down. Something I'm praying about.

I love how you've incorporated all this art.

Lovely artwork! :) I like antiques and vintage things...so I pick things up when I see them for a good price. I LOVE to paint but haven't done so in years....I hope to get back to it soon! :) Maybe then I will decorate my downstairs with some of my artwork. Our upstairs hall has different paintings/artwork I had done in high school, hanging up! :)

I love how your bathroom turned out. It looks great. The framed picture is pretty…. your Dad's drawing is amazing, and I love the Calendar that
Calvin made… also love the two at the bottom with the scriptures. We have done very similarly to you in every instance I've thought about making a calendar, but never have done ii; I have used calendars as art. We've also been given art/pictures from our parents, and friends, and Steve and I have created several things that are on our walls as well.

Oh, I made your lentil soup today; it was delicious.
Love and Blessings,
Pam

I have the same print of the tree that you have. It's beautiful. All my artwork has meaning in some way. It all seems to work together with each other. I picked the wall colour based on the quilts I have hanging in the great room. Some of the others are gifts which make them very special.

I am glad that Calvin made the calendar for you. I am sure there are alot of good ones in there. I like the scripture idea. I made a calendar of my photos as well, since I got a good deal on Shutterfly. Maybe this next time I will do scripture as well. Good idea. I had to look at the older post about the bathroom upgrade. Almost forgot that one. It looks nice!!! Take care!! Hugs, prayers and blessings!!---Becky

Love it! So beautiful and a great idea! I still have not hung up and pictures in our master bedroom. But most of the rest of the house is done! Always looking for ideas and I have a big room to fill up the wall space. Hope you are doing well! Take care!

Love them all, I also use old calendar photos for wall art after the calendars are done. I find frames at thrift stores. I do calendars every year from photos I take throughout the year to give as gifts. sometimes the photos in the calendars are people other times they may be something beautiful in nature with scripture. Your bathroom looks wonderful and I especially like the two plaques. Blessings to you

Dear Jill ~ Wow! You are doing wonderfully well to have already decorated everything but the master bedroom!! We have been in our home for 20 years and it's still a work in progress. :)

Dear Maryann ~ I am sure your friends and family enjoy the calendars you make for them. Thank you for your kind words about our bathroom. :)

With love,
Camille
