Time For a Giveaway!

Time for a giveaway!  It's been awhile.

And, as per usual, it's a book.  :)  Surprised?  No, didn't think so.
I was heading out for a day at the water park with Fraser and Emma, and,
since I had no intention of getting wet, a book was chosen from our shelves.
Not sure why I had never picked this one up before, but, I hadn't.

It is a gem!  A treasure.

Elisabeth Elliot has long been a favourite of mine.
Years ago, I had the opportunity to hear her speak at a ladies meeting.
I remember her as being a gracious and soft-spoken woman of God.
She could be heard on radio and through taped series of talks.  Always a blessing.

For many years, she wrote a newsletter.  My Mum-in-Love had it sent to my mailbox.
I collected them up and squirrelled them away.  In the end, there were dozens in my file.
It seems that Elisabeth Elliot has always been known for her words of wisdom
and no-nonsense approach to life.

In honour of her memory, I'd like to share Keep a Quiet Heart with one of you.
All you have to do to enter this giveaway is leave a comment and tell me
anything you'd like to about Elisabeth Elliot.
If you didn't know her before now, you could just tell me that.

This book is a collection of some of the best excerpts from her
wonderful newsletter.  They are short (usually two pages or less) nuggets of gold.
So much truth, encouragement, exhortation, and wisdom is packed into such small packages!
In a recent post, I shared a quote from my copy of her book.

The book you will receive will have a different cover.
Since my copy was published, a fresh look has been applied.
However, the contents are the same.

I plan to pull a name from the hat on Monday, July 13th at Noon, PST.
You have until then to add your name to the list.
Anyone may enter...from anywhere.  :)

Happy Weekend, Y'all!
With Love, Camille

Oh Camille, you are so sweet to have such a lovely giveaway! Elisabeth Elliot was quite the woman of God and when I was a teenager I would soak in her beautiful books. She became a favorite author and example of mine at a young age :)

This book is one I have not read and would love to be entered into the giveaway. Thank you so much! May you have a blessed day. Hugs!

Elizabeth Elliot has been an inspiration to me for many, many years. I was blessed to have the opportunity to hear her speak in Toronto a number of years ago and what a treat that was! Her inner beauty and love for the Lord radiated from her and made such an impression on me. I was a single woman at the time and always longed to hear direction on how to live the life of a happy, content and joyous Believer regardless of marital status. Elizabeth taught me much through her blog and her books. Thank you for entering my name in your draw!

How fun, Camile. Elizabeth Elliot has always been an inspiration to me; Her story is so tragic and yet so amazing and uplifting. I have read "Through Gates of Splendor" and "The Shaping of a Christian Family", I haven't seen the one you are reading, until now. It sounds like it is a good one. Have a lovely weekend.

Dear Camille,
Just yesterday I asked my husband if he had ever met her. I met her once as a young teen when she visited our church. I have never read any of her books but I am on a reading spree right now and would sure love to add another to my summer reading list.
