Stepping Back

Winter is on its way.  I feel it in my bones.
The winds and rains have arrived.  Our furnace is up and running.
We've had milder than normal weather which has resulted in a new record.
It's always a challenge to see how long I can wait before caving in.

The other day, Emma was wearing her winter coat indoors.
I don't think she was hinting at anything.  She was just cold.

The time has come for change.
A few adjustments are needed here and there.

Stepping back from the blogging world is necessary
from time to time.  At least, for me it is.
To refresh and refocus.  To set things in order.
To attend to a thing or two.  To reflect and be still.

I'm learning to embrace it.
It is what it is.

Lord-willing, I will be back in a week or two or three.
In the meantime, may you know the loving hand of
our Heavenly Father always to be upon you.
And, may you know the peace that only He can give.

With Love,
Camille

I shall miss your updates but know the importance of taking stock and having a break from things (like blogs and the computer)

Yes, I do feel the weather beginning to shift. It has been warm for an unusually long Fall. Yesterday, we had a lot of wind; and it was cold wind, the first cold of the season. We have had a fire or two in the evening or early morning, but it usually ends up hot again by midday. They are predicting snow next week... it was actually supposed to be here this week, but has gone around us and so we have a little more time to finish up that outside work that needs finishing. I do understand about those seasons of stepping back. I have had a few of those of late. It is sometimes just difficult to get a blog post done when there are so many other things happening in the midst. Many blessings to you Camille. Enjoy your family and the transition of season.
Hugs and Blessings,
Pam

I LOVE Calvin's photo! I totally understand the blogging break. I feel like I have almost taken a permanent break, but I'm not quite ready to give it up completely. So, I post every now and again. Enjoy your break!

What a lovely photo! Hope you have a wonderful time of rejuvenation. We've got the fire going and it feels wonderful and cozy in here, especially since we finally have the yellow carpet out of the living room, whoo hoo!!!!
