Adding another recipe from you to my recipe box. :-) Funny thing about the Bird's custard powder, I made Nanaimo bars for the first time (I know, right?) just this Monday and wouldn't you know, it called for that in the recipe. I had never heard of it before and I just bought some two days ago! How weird is that? Lol

Estherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16475146367546745899noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-345646302373200929.post-17328697528587424522015-03-17T07:51:06.362-07:002015-03-17T07:51:06.362-07:00Dear Pam ~ No wonder you love *tea time*!! Thank you for your kind encouragement on the photos....you do such a lovely job on yours. :)

Dear Jill ~ Thank you, sweet friend. I hope you like them as much as we do. :)

Dear Nikki ~ Actually, it is wonderful made into custard and served warm over any yellow or white cake. It's very British. I've altered the recipe to show that any cooked pudding powder will work (in its uncooked state). Hope that helps! :)

Dear Patty ~ Any cooked pudding powder will work as a substitute...sorry I didn't mention that before. I hope you like it if you do make it. :)

Dear Angela ~ Dear me....they really are scary! (Too easy for words and delicious...a dangerous combination!) Hugs to you. :)

With Love,
CamilleCamillehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07838089502798643241noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-345646302373200929.post-84304727690529512172015-03-16T16:12:20.481-07:002015-03-16T16:12:20.481-07:00Sounds and looks delicious! I have often used ready made frozen bread dough, it does help the time factor issue as you said, and it tastes like homemade. I like the idea of the Birds Custard Powder. I remember my Mom using that when I was growing up. We lived in UK when I was little and that was one of the memories I have. I like to see what Those Mennonite girls are cooking too… they have some wonderful recipes. I like your adaptation. Perfect for Christmas morning… or any special occasion. Thanks for the post. Have a great week.
Blessings,
PamPamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17962395509313703071noreply@blogger.com
