We live near enough to the beach to make use of the three mile
promenade pathway for our P.E. class.
Because we homeschool, we can be flexible about the time
we do it ~ sometimes it's been after math and sometimes before...
and sometimes not at all.
But when we do go, whenever it is ~
it's a blessing!
We are so thankful that the Lord has blessed us
with this beautiful place to get our exercise!
You may notice that the last few pictures are of the children running
up a steep grassy hill.
This has been a tradition of theirs for some time now...
it is a real accomplishment to make it to the top in one piece!
I even took the challenge not too long ago...
but once is enough for me! :)
What fun to be able to go to the beach for PE class! I love the freedom to go places that homeschooling allows us.
ReplyDeleteA few weeks ago we drove out to the ocean, about a 3 hour drive. The children had a wonderful time and we didn't have to deal with the crowds, as it was during the week that we went! By the way, thank you so much for your suggestions for Christmas gifts for the children - I really appreciate it!!!
Blessings!

Thanks for stopping by Nadine!
ReplyDeleteIt really is a blessing to homeschool isn't it? I LOVE the ocean...how lovely that you got to visit the beach in "off season"...so much better! :)
I'm sure you will figure out some creative things to do for your kids for Christmas...I admire you for seeking out creative ways to be more frugal. Your children will remember the loving things you do for them most of all!
Blessings,
Camille
You live in a beautiful place. When I was a kid we had this tremendously steep hill where we would always race each other to the top. I'd die if I tried to do that now!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely pictures you got! Pictures are such delicious memory savers! :D Haha, running UP the hill? Oh my gosh, not me... I roll down them, much easier and more fun...if a little dizzying. :P Thanks for your lovely comments on my blog! :P So many people have told my that I write the way I talk...animated. :P It's worse when I talk though- I have this bad habit of moving my hands drastically. :P I love your blog background by the way! Where did you get it? :D
ReplyDeleteCourtney
Hi Camille. Thanks so much for visiting my blog. Isn't it fun to meet so many people this way? Your blog is really neat too.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!
Jackie ~ We actually live a few minutes DRIVE away from this beach...it is not our view! :) Steep hills are fun for the kids...but I am with you...feeling like it is somewhat a thing of the past. Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteCourtney ~ Welcome! Thanks for the visit today...and the comment. :) I agree...hills are more fun to roll down than run up...but my kids are a bit in the dark on that one! ;-) Regarding the background...the place to find it is at the bottom of the blog...gives you a link to get to the creators of it. Thanks for the compliment!
Welcome Melissa! ~ Your blog is lovely and those CUTE aprons!! WOW!! Good for you! Thanks for stopping by and leaving an encouraging comment!
May you all be blessed today!
In Him,
Camille
I don't think I'd be able to make it up that steep slope! You're so lucky to live so close to the beach that you're able to enjoy it without a major to do!
ReplyDeleteManuela
Manuela ~ I DID make it up that steep slope to the amazement of my children, but I have NO DESIRE to do it again! ;-)
ReplyDeleteWe are constantly aware of God's blessings...being near the beach is definitely one of them.
Have a wonderful day!
Camille
Camille,
ReplyDeleteI am trying REALLY hard not to be envious!!! The scenery is breathtaking. How wonderful for your family to enjoy such beauty. God is so very good to us, isn't He?
God bless,
Jackie
Jackie ~ We really do feel spoiled...but I certainly didn't want to make anyone jealous! ;-) God IS so Good...what a blessing to look to Him to see the beauty he has put all around us each day! We walk at that beach year 'round and it looks quite different in the winter months...it was windy and rainy this morning. :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Camille
