My friend Christa posted a recipe for Chicken Pot Pie on her blog the other day. I just made two of these for dinner tonight and they were yummy! How can you tell summer's over and the comfort food cooking has begun?
What a beautiful pie! I'm so glad it turned out for you. We also make two at a time so we can have left overs the next day. Thanks for trying out the recipe.
Mmmmm. I just made chicken pot pie a few days ago. I'll have to try this recipe next time. It is indeed, wonderful comfort food. The smell of the crust baking was enough to make me smile with anticipation! Thanks for sharing!
Christa ~ You are so encouraging...thank you! My crust making skills are a little bit lacking, but try, try, try again is my motto! ;-) Unfortunately we don't have much left over, but there you have it!! It's like feeding six full grown and hungry men around here...really! I don't even want to think about what's coming!! :)
J ~ I got this recipe from Christa (as you will notice if you click on the link), and it is wonderful because it is all from scrtach! That's the way I'm trying to cook these days...using less and less commercially made stuff. I even made my own stock (which is really easy). The crust could be substituted for whatever recipe is your favourite...not everyone likes celery seed. :)
