Indian Summer

It's been warm here recently.
Around 80 Degrees.
Warm for us. :)

Last week Howie had a few days off.
We did some *local* stuff.
Day trips.

Like a holiday in our own back yard.
Just before the cooler days of Autumn set in.

We drove around to this beach
which is directly across from *our* beach.
It's about 25 minutes away.

There are fire pits where we were.
So, we brought along some wood.
And, we roasted our dinner by the shore.

It was wonderful!

Is it getting cooler there,
or warming up?
The cooler days seem to have
arrived in our neck of the woods.
Autumn officially begins in
just over a week.
Our Indian Summer is fading.

Have a wonderful week!
Many blessings,
Camille

What a blessing to have a beach in your own backyard! We do love the beach, but have to drive three hours to get there. So it is a treat when we do get to go.

Thank you for the birthday wishes for my oldest son!

Blessings,
Stacie

Oh yes, I have been thrilled with our summer lately...since it came so late:-)

But I feel the Autumn in the air..that smell is just wonderful. Still lots to do outside before hibernating LOL.

Loved the photos of your precious family.

Blessings,
Connie

Dear Julia ~ I remember looking at your *beachy* photos last year on your blog...in the middle of our winter...I hear you! Enjoy these early Spring days my friend...Summer is on its way! :)

Dear Stacie ~ This beach is about half an hour away, but *our* beach is just 10 minutes up the road. We do not see it from our house...just to clarify. Enjoy these precious years with your *teen*! :)

Dear Connie ~ Oh how I know that you know what I'm referring to! It has been a lovely ending to the Summer that didn't seem to want to arrive, hasn't it? :)

Dear Nadine ~ We have had the very same Summer as you...it's ended nicely, don't you think?? Are you ready for all the rain??? :)

Dear Patty ~ Sounds like your weather last week is our weather this week. Fall is coming!! Blessings to you! :)

Dear Karen ~ It was so much fun to do a cookout...it was the first (and likely the last) of this Summer for us! Crazy, isn't it?? I agree...hot dogs are best cooked over an open flame. :)

Many blessings,
Camille

How fun! So glad you guys got some time off together and were able to enjoy the warm weather. It feels like summer finally got here and it is going to be fall next week. What is with that? LOL.

Oh Camille, this looks absolutely delightful. What a wonderful way to wrap up your summer.

We are thrilled that temperatures have dipped below 100 degrees (F) here.
