our family's life for over eleven years.

The days of paper delivery are now behind us ~

Wow, 11 years! End of an era for sure. I'm sure that Emma is an amazing baby sitter and could probably make a lot more money at it too. Or is she doing something different for a job now ? I am so happy to hear that the beautiful rose tree has fully recovered but sad to see that your lawn will be in need of repair. Looks like the weather has been nice up there like it has been here. Doesn't seem like snow is anywhere in sight which is unusual for this time of year in eastern Oregon
Jill ~ I realised that it wasn't clear what I was saying in the post, so, I modified it to add that we have given the route away. It has been a wonderful blessing to us all these years, but, it was time to let it go. Thank you for your kind words…we are thankful that the boys were willing to chip in these last couple of months. Debbie ~ Yes, it is amazing how many people you can develop friendships with through the papers…we are thankful that our children had the opportunity. You are right…it is a great first job. :)

Jackie ~ It was definitely time to let the route go to another family as Emma was the only one left to do it and I wasn't happy to let her go alone. She would love to babysit…but, hasn't had the opportunity yet. She is planning to do editing work for Calvin! He has offered to pay her while he trains her and then she will be off an running. I was thrilled that our little rose tree survived…it was an amazing recovery. The yard….well, technically, that part of the property belongs to the city, so they can do whatever they want to it. Hugs! :)
