Drip. Drip. Drip.
Yup. That's me. Sometimes.
Not good. Not good at all!
My friend just blessed another friend's daughter with a wedding shower.
She gave a devotional talk to the bride-to-be.
But, we were all there to listen in. And it *hit home*.
The verse?
"A continual dropping in a very rainy day and a
contentious woman are alike."
~ Proverbs 27:15 ~
The examples she gave were real and true. Sadly.
She said that if we treated co-workers like
we sometimes treat our husbands those co-workers would avoid us.
Yup. Indeedy.
Again, we must all sit up and take notice.
Why would God's Word address this if it were
not true? And true often.
It is a universal vice.
We all, at one time or another, will struggle with it.
And it is sin. And where ought we to run with our sin?
That's right ~ to the Cross.
The LORD died for this.
HE will give strength and grace to live for HIM.
He enables us to do as we ought to. And, HE forgives.
How wonderful it is!
One day at a time. Moment by moment. With HIM.
"Pleasant words are as an honeycomb,
sweet to the soul, and health to the bones."
~ Proverbs 16:24 ~
On this journey too.
Many Blessings, Camille

Camille,
I just returned home from church. This is one of the very verses we read from Proverbs tonight! My husband is preaching a series over Solomon and tonight we read this verse in part of the message.
I also feel like a drip sometimes. Then I have to remember Solomon's words in Ecclesiastes - "Let your words be few..."
God bless you my friend,
Donna
Amen Camille...wish I was there to hear the devotional {smile}...but you said it well and very true.
Blessings,
Connie
Oh, how I don't want to drip, drip, drip! I was recently convicted about my reactions to my family. Those who should be getting the best (the Fruit of the Spirit in me) often get the worst (my flesh!). Sad, but true. I have asked God to help me give my best to Him first, then to my family, and out from there. Walk, walk, walk, in the Spirit! ~ and then nobody will have to deal with my flesh.
Dear Donna ~ How often I need reminding! How wonderful the LORD is to remind me!! Have a lovely day my friend. :)
Dear Connie ~ It was a blessing to hear it in person, for sure! How rich God's Word is!! :)
Dear Patty ~ Yes, to keep living IN the Spirit and not have to deal with the flesh...won't Heaven be glorious?? :)
Blessings to you all!
In HIS Love,
Camille
It is definitely something I struggle with at times. I need to just keep my mouth shut and ask God to change my heart and soften my thoughts.
LOVE Pro. 16:24 it is one of the first ones my children and I learned together 10 years ago!
Dear Jenn ~ I am so thankful that HE does not leave us to ourselves, aren't you? What a blessing it is to belong to HIM. :)
Love,
Camille
I have been dripping a little lately. Thank you for this reminder.
Thank you also for your prayers for our family. We are in the thick of a terrible situation and we continue to pray that our God will show Himself faithful and mighty.
Blessings,
Stacie
Dear Stacie ~ The LORD is with you in this storm. Keep your eyes on Him. He is Faithful!!
With Love,
Camille
