The Quotidian (21. 3. 16)

Quotidian: daily, usual, or customary;
everyday; ordinary; commonplace.

A perfect gift ~ thank you, Miss R.

Twist on a classic.

For the girls.

Beauty springing up....

...in the midst of the rubble.

A day's worth of dishes.

Living (and precious) dishwashers.
(Our mechanical one up and quit on us.)

We thought it was dead ~ rescued from the destruction.

One of my all-time favourites.

Emma got to bring two of them home!
(From the wedding ~ thank you, Auntie L.)

With Love,
Camille

Great pictures!! We have a bit longer to wait for those beautiful blossoms. The snow is gone but spring hasn't quite sprung here yet! So thankful for helpful teens! But don't even get me started on dishwashers of the mechanical kind. Grrrrr. The living kind are much more dependable not to mention nicer to look at. :-)

We have been without a mechanical dishwasher for over three years. Every time the hubby gets a raise or overtime he asks me about getting a new one (I'm the one that does most of the dishes) and I always say lets pay down some debt. I've gotten used to it and it is kind of my don't have to think about anything time.

Thanks for your post Camille. Love the last picture, what a great little gift. Now I have an idea to make my own...
Hugs to you!

Jennifer Jo ~ Couldn't agree more! :)

Esther ~ Spring is coming...spring is coming! Just keep reminding yourself and it will happen. :) As for the dependability of the living dishwashers....I agree, however, since we began doing them all by hand, at least three glasses are missing from the cupboards.

Leanna ~ I told my kids your story and they were impressed. Three years? Well...maybe we will take that on as a challenge. :)

Sandy ~ I agree...so pretty!! It's not difficult to do (apparently)...they used a paper punch for the heart holes. Hugs to you! :)

BTW, I got my dishwasher installed by Michael just before he left for Europe. Love it! Hope you get one soon. Our dryer quit right before he left and I tried to fix it with the neighbors help but ended up burning out the new element. So bought another element and Michael installed it soon after he got back. It has not been clothes hanging weather at all! So thankful for working appliances :)

Heather ~ Thank you, sweet friend. And, I can't get over it, either. Hugs! :)

Jackie ~ The twist is to add pickled jalapeno slices on top of the cheese between the layers of bread in a grilled cheese sandwich. Amazing! :) SO happy for you and your working appliances! They are such a blessing for the busy Mama. We are managing so far with the hand washing...it's all good. Hugs to you! :)
