My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus' name.
On Christ the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.
When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds withing the veil.
On Christ the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.
His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the 'whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.
On Christ the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

Nice to meet you new friend!
Welcome Traci Michele!
Thanks for the encouraging words...you are welcome to come back anytime.
I love many of the old hymns...they have incredible stories behind them. Many were penned because of the deep truths the authors had learned, very often through deep trials. What a blessing to have access to them...we must never let them go to waste.
Thanks for the invitation to your blog...I will come check it out.
Have a blessed weekend!
Camille
Camille,
When I was a brand new Christian back in the late 70's, I listened to this hymn sung by Keith Green over and over again. It brings such great memories.
Thanks so much for sharing these words.
Christa
Hi Christa!
What a great testimony of the ministering ability of music...I love it that you were blessed by this hymn when you were a new Christian. The words are so powerful. God is so Good!
