A Life Imperfect

Escape.

We all, it seems,
at one time or another,
want to escape.

Get away from it all.

Leave behind all our responsibilities ~
For a month, a week, a day.

But, will that really fulfill?
Will that really be enough?
More importantly, is it godly?

We ought to go about living our lives ~
In the Moment. In the Midst of it all.
The Trials. The Chaos.
The Noise. The Mess.

Is it possible to glorify
God with a Life Imperfect?

YES!

By HIS Grace. With HIS Mercy.
In HIS Strength. For HIS Glory.
Look to HIM.
HE has all the answers.
HE is not a difficult task-master.
HE delights to give us all we need.

Moment by moment.

"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God,
that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not;
and it shall be given him."
~ James 1:5 ~

When I assess my life, more often than not ~
I find that I am the one who is
the difficult one.
I expect too much. Demand too much.
For my own glory.

Pride.

Ultimately, that is the reason!
Ugly as it is.
How wonderful that our
Precious Saviour forgives.
And forgives.
And forgives again.

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just
to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from
all unrighteousness."
~ I John 1:9 ~

Look to HIM. He never will fail you.
And take life one step at a time.
In His strength. For His Glory.
That is where true fulfillment
and joy are to be found.

Only in HIM. He alone is Perfect.
And one day, if we are HIS,
we will be eternally perfect too!

What a thought!

"I can do all things through Christ
which strengtheneth me."

~ Philippians 4:13 ~

Many Blessings to
each one of you, kind friends.
In His Love,
Camille

I am SO glad He accepts me with all my warts and scars. Than He even finds me beautiful and cares so much for me that He gave Himself up for little old me! How awesome is that?! And that He never gives up on me, though DAILY I stumble and fall, He is always there to reach down and pick me up, dust me off and send me off to 'keep on keepin' on!' :~}

Hope you 'weathered' the storm okay up your way. We are still thawing out and slogging our way thru. Actually I enjoy this kind of weather, but know it makes life so difficult for the elderly and others with special and medical needs.
We survived quite nicely save for a couple of downed apple trees in the orchard. :~{ Guess I will need to find some replacements this spring. Otherwise, all is good!
Be Blessed today, my friend!

I can identify with this so much....just let me escape for a little while. Most often the root is things not going my way, or I am overwhlemed, I am just tired....notice the recurring "I" theme...my sinful nature wants comfort and ease.
THank you for the reminder that he is all that we need

YES and AMEN!!! A wonderful post dear friend! I just love how the Lord speaks to your heart and giving you a heart to share with us and encourage us. He NEVER fails us, He IS always there. I admit to wanting to run away and have a break but what keeps me going is His faithfulness to me and hopefully I am growing in my faithfulness to Him. To God be the Glory!

Love you!

Sharon

You are so right. What a big difference there is between running to escape life and running to our Saviour's arms. Only one will bring lasting peace and comfort.

Such a encouraging post! Thank you~

Great job, Emma! You are learning from a great photographer:) I definitely have my times when I'm ready to escape but God is helping me be content a midst the chaos. With my husband gone so much and family so far away I, I'm learning how to go week after week without a break. It helps now that the kids are little older, too.

I can relate (sadly) ...I have been just chiding myself on achieving nothing each day (but I'm busy from sun-up to sun-down!) and the problem is I probably expect TOO MUCH from myself!

Thank you for reminding me to glorify Him with my imperfect self.

Hugs, Julia

Yep, I've felt like running a time or two! It doesn't solve the problem, though. It actually adds to it. Thankfully we have a God who is big enough to handle anything and everything if we just let Him!
