Under His Wings

Under His wings.  What a picture this conjures up.
If we belong to our Great God, then we are held closely by Him.
Just as little chicks are kept safe under the wings of their mother,
God's people are protected and nurtured in His care.

Does this mean that no trouble will come our way?
No physical harm will afflict us?
No suffering or sorrow will cross our path?
No.  It doesn't mean that at all.

~ If you look closely, you will see a bird in her nest
in the photo above...isn't that just beautiful? ~

It means that we are kept safe spiritually.
Nothing can touch us without first passing through
the loving hands of our Heavenly Father.
All that comes to pass in our lives is for our good and His glory.

Every.  Single.  Thing.

Under His wings.  There is no better place to be.
How precious it is to remind ourselves of our position in Him.
Our eternal state is secure.  If the Lord Jesus is our Saviour,
there truly is nothing to fear.

As His children, we have every reason to hope.
Every reason to trust.  Every reason to rejoice.

As we embark on another New Year ~
What is your hope?  Do you have peace?
Deep abiding peace that will not leave?
It can only be found in the Saviour ~

Much Love,
Camille

I have a piece of artwork in our living room that carries the same theme as you have shared here today, Camille. It is under those precious wings that I find comfort, peace and strength...not of my own, but of HIS.

I have peace in knowing that not a sparrow falls to the ground without his watchful notice. How much more...does He know me? I have peace in knowing that my life is held securely in His hands! Regardless of what the day may bring...I am peacefully resting in eternity with Him.

Your last words...'Look to Him and Live' reminds me of that song from years past...'Look and Live'. I can't find the lyrics but the chorus goes like this...

Look and live
My brother ...live
Look to Jesus now and live.
Tis recorded in His word
Halleluiah!
if only that you look and live!.

welcome back!
blessings for the new journey ahead.
