Simply Guacamole!

Super Easy!
So. Good. For. You.
Y.U.M.M.Y.

Simply Guacamole.
(Gwa-ka-moe-lee)

I use three or four ripe avocadoes.
(They are ripe when dark in colour
and slightly soft).

Wash the skin and slice length-wise
through to the pit.
Split in half and remove the pit
with the tip of your knife.

Scoop out the flesh with a spoon.
Mash with a fork.
Add in the juice of one lemon.
A splash or two of Hot Sauce.
And a shake of garlic powder.

Mix together.
Taste and adjust seasonings.
Chill and serve.
Enjoy! :)

Hello, I hopped on over here from Lisa's.
This is what I had for lunch today. No one in my home likes this but me. They can't get past the way it looks:) I love it! It's good on a hamburger too!

Dear Kristin ~ Oh how sad I am for your family...but how wonderful for you!! I agree...guacamole is super yummy on a hamburger. :)

Dear Jennifer ~ Let's do lunch sometime soon...guacamole is on the menu! :)

Dear Nadine ~ It's so good, isn't it? I know some recipes call for cream, but this is guilt free and just as yummy. :)

Dear Heather (Farmgirl) ~ Yummy...will quesadillas be the plan for tomorrow then? I'll be there! ;-)

It's good to know I am not alone in this crazy love for guacamole. :)

Many blessings,
Camille

Hi Camille~
Uh Oh! If it were just you and me, I'm afraid you would be alone in your love for that green stuff!(Uh ~ I don't care for tomatoes either) So sorry!!! :~{ But I am trying to learn to like it ~ I have to disguise it in my seafood salad and chop it into tiny pieces. Maybe it is more of a textural thing. I'll keep trying. :~}
Avacado is the first solid food my daughter gave her first baby. She didn't like it either. Made me feel better. :~P
I think the little ground cover you are talking about is Sweet Woodruff. It is an herb and it is so 'sweet'. I like how it hops and skips around in my flower beds. So cute!
Enjoy your Guacamole (looks pretty on the red tortilla chips!)

MMMMM! We're big guacamole eaters here. Well at least 3 of us are! Sis and I can eat a whole lot of it in one setting!

Dear Raeann ~ LOL...no worries my friend! I wouldn't serve you guacamole or tomatoes...please do remind me before you come on over, though! ;-) It is important the avocadoes be JUST ripe and not OVER ripe...maybe that was the problem?? I *love* them sliced in chunks on a salad (with other things too)...yum, yum! And, thinking of grandbabies? Who could blame you for that?! :)

Dear Dianna ~ I'm glad you will give it a try my friend! I hope you approve. :)

Dear Jenn ~ Come on over and share! What fun you and Sis and Emma and I would have!! I'll use eight avocadoes for that visit! ;-)

Many blessings,
Camille

Hello Camille :)

This looks wonderful! I have only made guacamole once, similar but using fresh minced garlic and lime juice. It is perfect for the warmer weather isn't it.

It sounds like Kristen has a blessing in disguise having a family that doesn't like it ;)

Have a blessed day sweetie!
Love,
Sharon

Yum! Yum! We love guacamole!!! I always make a double batch because just one is not enough...it's like a teaser!!!

I pray you are well, we are in South Florida on vacation. It's been nice, but we must return home soon!

Praying for you and your child with Crohn's!

My husband loves this, I will try your recipe, sounds easy enough, hugs and be blessed

Dear Sharon ~ Your guacamole sounds wonderful! Lime and fresh garlic...mmmmm! I make it simple otherwise, I may not make it as often...hence the lemon (as they are always in my fridge) and the farlic powder (as I don't have to mince)! Don't I sound lazy?? LOL!

Dear Christine ~ How lovely to be able to have a vacation!! Such blessings from the LORD!! It must be HOT there in South Florida...how fun! Thank you soooo much for your prayers...what a sweetie you are! :)

Dear Barbara ~ Super duper easy...I hope he approves! :)

Many blessings,
Camille

I am soooo into guacamole lately! I love it with lemon juice instead of lime - like you do. I think the lime juice makes it taste like lysol, don't know why. I ruined my last batch - way too much garlic and lemon. I love your idea to add hot sauce, I will be trying that with my next batch. I just bought some avocadoes tonight to try again. I also add chopped tomato and I use this on salad instead of dressing. Nummy!

Dear Catherine ~ It would be yummy on a salad! Thank you for alerting me to the strange taste lime adds...I think I'll stick to lemon. Enjoy your next batch of guacamole! :)

Blessings,
Camille

Hi Camille (again), I made my guac tonight and it was so good! I added hot sauce but next time I'll have to add more because I couldn't tell it was there. And I remembered tonight to add salt - I LOVE it with salt but not so much when I forget the salt. I spooned it over my greens with some flaked salmon and grilled asparagus. Totally NUMMY!

Dear Catherine ~ I'm so glad it turned out so well! It sounds like a fabulous dinner you had...yummy! I haven't ever added salt...I'll have to try that next time. :)

Blessings,
Camille
