Choose Your Love and Love Your Choice

I don't know where I heard this one, but it is so simple.
Love is a choice.
We choose who we marry.
AND then we choose to love the one we have chosen ~
By God's Grace.

S.I.M.P.L.E.

How can we express that love?
Life gets busy.
Things crowd in.
But we need to make time for the important things.

The husband we have been given is ~

I.M.P.O.R.T.A.N.T.

How can we show it to him today?

I Corinthians 13:4-8 are wonderful verses to prayerfully consider.
REAL love is defined there ~ it is not evidenced by feelings;

it produces
A.C.T.I.O.N.

Camille, this is really good. I've heard of this before and it's so easy to repeat it to other's to "encourage them" but, truth is... it's hard to speak it to ourselves in the moments of (?)... you name it.

Good reminder, for me today!

I like how you said Love is an action. I would also say Love is an attitude of the heart.

Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day...

Life is simple if we just live it, and love the ones we have chosen, and not have roving eyes for bigger or better, hugs my friend and thank you, Barbara

Love IS a choice. I teach my children that. You are choosing to be committed and to love someone until death. Not easy, but again, it's a choice.

You are right that love is a choice. I hope many people will be blessed today by your words on this. Today, we can choose to love!

Dear Bevy ~ Ah yes, *THOSE* moments...we all have them...it's what we DO with them that counts! :) Thanks for sharing your insights here today...yes, love springs out of a right attitude of the heart...when the LORD is the central focus of that heart. True love, that is. How precious that HE promises to give us all we need and never to leave us or give us more than we can bear!! How I rest in that!

Dear Barbara ~ I appreciate your input here...yes, we ought to love the one we chose and not compare or allow thoughts of "I wonder" to enter our minds! One day at a time with the LORD...HE will give the grace to live according to HIS Word.

Dear Stacie ~ Yes, it is a commitment, that's for sure! AND we said VOWS that we must keep. Thankfully we have the LORD to turn to in every situation for the strength and grace that is required! :)

Welcome Lisa ~ It's lovely to "meet" you! Thanks for stopping by and for your sweet words of encouragement. :)

Dear Raeann ~ Oh how we need those "gentle reminders"...God is so gracious! :)

Welcome Sherry ~ So nice to "meet" you! Happy Anniversary!! :)

Blessings,
Camille

Camille~
What a sweet reminder to SHOW love to our husband. I love my husband, more each day, and I found that loving him the way HE needs to be loved is so important. Because the way I want to be loved and the way he wants to be loved are two totally different things :-)

This is all really great stuff that I'm filing away for the day when I get married :) :) :) Thanks for godly advice and encouragement. I think there's some things here I can use to encourage my dad, who's the only man in my life right now :) :)

Oh I love the picture of that flower. It's a "Bachelor's Button" right?..Aren't they also known as "cornflowers"? I did a double-take...because I have some very similaer photos on my blog. So I had to go back and double check :) :) These are really cute flowers!!!

Love and hugs from Oregon,
Heather :)

Dear Jenn ~ Oh yes...this would apply to everyone we are called to love in this life! Thank you for your kind words today! :)

Dear Linda ~ Thank you for your visit today...may God bless you too! :)

Dear Cinnamon ~ I agree with you there...we all express love differently ~ and how we express it usually reflects how we want to receive it! I find it very interesting that the love we have for one another after all these years is so much deeper and richer than it was in the beginning. Isn't marriage an incredibly fascinating journey?? :)

Dear Heather ~ Oh yes, the LORD does all things well and HIS timing is perfect! Do show your Dad the love you have for him...it brings glory to God when we honour our parents. About the flower...I think you are right regarding its name, but I am not positive. They really are sweet! :)

Dear Amy ~ Did you translate it back into English?? LOL...that is too funny! :)

Blessings,
Camille

Camille, I so appreciate your post on Choose your love and love your choice! What precious thought provoking statements. Sometimes I get busy with every day things and don't always take the time to just think on my husband...but when I do I always come away with that same thought that he is I.M.P.O.R.T.A.N.T. and my day becomes so much more fulfilling as I go about thinking about how I will express that importance to him. Thanks for sharing this lovely post!
