"He is despised and rejected of men;
a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief:
and we hid as it were our faces from him;
he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Surely he hath borne our griefs,
and carried our sorrows;
yet we did esteem him stricken,
smitten of God, and afflicted.
But he was wounded for our transgressions,
he was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon him;
and with his stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned every one to his own way;
and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all."
~ Isaiah 53:3-6 ~
This prophecy was written about our Lord Jesus Christ
approximately 700 years prior to His birth.
It describes perfectly what He did for His people
when He suffered and died on the Cross.
This Good Friday may we rejoice in HIM!
Many Blessings,
Camille

He is risen INDEED! Many Blessings to you this day as we remember the great cost of the sacrifice for our sin which Jesus Himself bore on our behalf. I loved the Scripture you chose. I memorized that entire chapter of ISAIAH 53 before I went to Jerusalem for the first time in 2010. I was able to recite it just outside the tomb of Jesus in a little cave where our group was seated for a time or worship. What an honor and what a JOY to speak the TRUTH of God's Word in prophetic news of what Christ would later do! Marvelous!
Thank You, JESUS, for your sacrifice of death that brought us the free gift of Eternal Life!
Choosing GREAT JOY,
Stephanie
