Thankful Thursday ~ Hidden Joys

If we slow down to listen,
to see and to hear ~
Life reveals its hidden joys.
They are there.

Sometimes they hide.

By paying attention to the details,
and counting the blessings,
we give ourselves the opportunity to praise.
It's a good thing to notice. To take stock.

It's a good thing.

This Thursday, I give thanks for the hidden joys.
For the things sometimes missed.
For the evidences of HIS loving care.
I give thanks for...

~ The wooden railway set up on the office floor

~ The way it winds around Howie's desk and reminds me that
a little girl still lives here

~ The birch tree next door that was taken down
due to the fact that it was dead in places...
and, that it was cut into chunks and free for the taking!

~ Calvin's willingness to stack it

~ The shed that my Dad built and that it is full once again!

~ That there was space for *extra* wood under the trees

~ A letter from our girl...posted secretly :)

~ Two games of Monopoly laid out on the floor,
and enjoyed for days

~ A dozen roses *just because*

This Thursday, may you see the hidden joys
our Gracious Lord has blessed you with.

With Love,
Camille

What a beautiful thankful post! I know others would be blessed by reading this--would you be willing to link it up to my Thankful Thursday link meme this week? No pressure if you don't want to!

Congrats on all that free wood! We leave our Monopoly game out for days, too. It is fun to play when you have time and be able to walk away from it. We like finishing the game!

Dear Lisa ~ Thank you for your kind and encouraging words! :)

Dear Jackie ~ I was so excited about the wood...right next door...and free!! My poor men...they had no choice but to oblige me. Yes, Monopoly takes awhile to complete...but, I agree, it is more fun to finish it. Even when it's Mama who goes bankrupt. :)

Blessings to you both!

Thanks for this post. It helped me to remember to be thankful and I shared it on Facebook.

God is so good to us. He provides things in ways we don't even expect. Good to catch up with you again Camille. My family has been trying to adjust to our new place and we have been dealing with multiple viruses. I have thought of you and your family often and am glad to get a glimpse of what has been going on. God bless!
