Here I Raise My Ebenezer

If you click on the link attached to the statement
above, you will find the meaning behind this familiar phrase.
How wonderful it is to recount the ways in which
our Great God blesses us!

He is eternally Good.  He does all things well.
He leads, guides, directs and graciously provides.
We have nothing to fear when we belong to Him.
How precious He is!

Lately, there have been situations we have found
ourselves in that were perplexing and trying.
We literally didn't know where to turn.
So, we stopped and waited.
We prayed and considered.
We sought the Lord for direction.

Then, always at the time when a decision
was required, the direction to move in was made clear.
By the advice of a physician, through new information revealed,
through the reading of the Word of God and prayer,
through the closing of a door or the opening of another.
How precious it is to belong to our Great God!

We have had many blessings in the past few weeks.

We have endured sorrows and heartache.
We have been stretched and tried.
And, we have seen the LORD meet
our every need moment by moment.

He is eternally Good!

So, today, I raise my ebenezer.

I recount some of the ways in which we have been blessed.
And, through it all, I give thanks ~
To the ONE Who gives all!

I give thanks for...

~ Sparkly shoes found in a bin of hand-me-downs

for our little miss

~ Many new outfits to enjoy from that
same bin of clothes...what a blessing!
(Thank you *E* and *S* for sharing).

~ Sunshine streaming in through the windows
after many wet and grey days

~ A Dad for my boys who is willing to teach

~ Letting them be men

~ Two up a ladder...
and the work they were doing and what it meant

~ My clothesline re-installed...
and new-to-Emma dresses (from the bin) drying in the sun.

~ More things to explore and implement for the treatment of Crohn's
(I cannot recommend all of this book;
there are non-Christian ideas put forward within its pages
that must not be adhered to.  However, it has merit, it would seem).

~ New life springing forth and the promise of Spring!

~ The best book ever (of course, the Bible is first)...
Highly recommended!!

~ A little girl was continually looking for a pair of
AirWalks to purchase (for the last two years or so)...
however, her Mum said they must be on sale
before they would be taken home.
They never seemed to be on sale.

Wouldn't you know it?

The BIG bin of hand-me-downs had a pair of AirWalks in it!
It wasn't a need, but the LORD graciously provided anyway.
They will have to be grown into, but, Emma is happy to wait.  :)

It is a refreshing habit to stop and consider
all that the LORD has done this day and in the days gone by.
When we notice them all in detail and praise Him,
we bring honour to His Name.

May He continually open our eyes that we might see.

Many Blessings,

Camille

When I raised my Ebenezer stone, I wrote on it "This far the Lord has helped me". As I surrender to the trials and tribulations that my Holy Father allows, I know that He will help me, because He knows what is best for me and my family. I will left you up in my prayers and pray that God will continue to hold your tightly in His loving arms.

Love you, Friend!
Stacie

Thank you for your blessings Camille which make me count mine. Learning to live without fear but trusting that God will resolve things according to His plan. I used to love those hand me downs too! Now Matt is a young man he often buys his own clothes from his work salary. It is so good to see our kids become young adults!! Blessings.

Dear Stacie ~ How precious it is to know that we are in HIS grip! May HE continually give grace in your trials and struggles my friend...HE is Good! Thank you so much for praying...I remember you before HIS Throne as well. :)

Dear Pippa ~ Yes, it is a blessing to watch our young people take on more and more responsibility...wow...buying his own clothes!! Hand-me-downs are definitely a treat...we are thankful. Blessings to you my friend. :)

Dear Taylor ~ I often tell Emma that she is abundantly blessed when someone gives her hand-me-downs...she would not be coming home from the store with so many options! Thank you for your kind words and sweet friendship. :)

Dear Heather ~ Oh, I had to smile when I discovered those were included in the bin...how could they know? Our Loving Heavenly Father takes care of sweet things like that...it is precious!! Have a lovely week, too my friend! :)

Dear Marci ~ Your sweet comment encourages me...thank you so much! May the LORD bless you and your family abundantly. :)

With Love,
Camille

I just read about what the name Ebenezer means today at Vision Forum. What lovely photos you have shared Camille - those silver shoes my twins would love, anything that sparkles attracts them! What a blessing to find the Airwalkers that Emma wanted in the box. I love it when that happens! I especially love it when it happens for one of our children - reminds me of when my daughter asked for Mandarin lessons (not exactly something I could teach!) and then months later she brings me the leaflet she finds at the library advertising Mandarin lessons for children in our very own town. She knew that the Lord had come through for her and that He wanted her to learn this language.

Blessings upon blessings. God is always overflowing our lives with them if we stop and look.

Ya, for the airwalks :-) It's those little desires that God meets that always catch me by surprise.

Rejoice in the Lord always~

My brother-in-law insisted on singing that hymn when he and my sister got married.

Dear Ann ~ Isn't it precious when the LORD does something like that? It reminds me of the time that Spurgeon's wife was given some special (non-essential) things that she had desired and they had no money for...Spurgeon informed her that she must be one of the Lord's spoiled children as He had seen fit to send these things to her! Makes me smile. :)

Dear Cinnamon ~ It's just so special when it happens like that, isn't it? The Lord blesses us in the details...I am thankful that He gives us eyes to see! :)

Dear Heather ~ I think that's beautiful! :)

Many Blessings,
Camille

We LOVE hand-me down, too! That and yard sale finds are the way we shop. Sometimes even thrift stores, but I find those placed expensive compared to yard sales. Looks like Emma really made out well! What a blessing :) She is adorable in her "new" outfit.

I thank God for the wisdom He gave you just when you needed it the most. He is so like that! Always doing things last minute to build our faith. We are still waiting on orders, but I'm confident that His timing is perfect.

Have a wonderful Easter!

Those dresses look so pretty hanging on the line :)
What a loving God we serve, Who gives us what we desire, not only what we need!

Have a wonderful Easter!

Dear Heather ~ Oh, He truly is SO Good to us, isn't He? I am so thankful that He is teaching Emma these beautiful things about Himself while she is young. It is precious! Happy Easter to you, too! :)
