Life's Fleeting Joys

The weeks fly by.  The Mondays come and go.
The documentation of thanks continuesAND as I plod along,
I find myself being transformed by this "new" way of thinking.
We are called to this.  Joy is found in obedience.

"In every thing give thanks:
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."
I Thessalonians 5:18

You think of so many things to be thankful for Camille! I really enjoy reading your lists and I reflect on everything that I am blessed with. I am also thankful for the peaceful road I live on, it truly is quiet and serene. Wish I could say the same about my home but even though it is noisy at times there is peace because we have invited Jesus the giver of real peace to live here too! I am still working on 471 - the ironing pile. The only way I get through this is by praying for the person who clothes I am ironing! I have to pray in bursts throughout the day like this. BTW I love those colourful little ramekin pots sitting in your dish drainer.

Wanting What I Have said...

LOVE the apron and the list of thanks for every thing. Obedience, yes. I quickly jotted a few things down this morning in my journal. Thank you for your faithfulness in this area and for giving us a peak at your heart.

I am so glad you got to spend time with you sister. How wonderful! Even washing dishes together...that brings back memories of my own sisters and times of washing dishes! :) Good times.

Have a wonderful week!

I too LOVE how the laundry machine does all the work and then poof, clean clothes! I can't imagine washing my clothes on a washboard like my grandmother! Makes me realize how easy life is compared.
The piano in the background is BEAUTIFUL. I played as a child and a teen and I miss it.

Ann ~ I *love* your idea of praying through the laundry pile! That's great! Ironing and Dusting are my two least favourite chores...thanks for the prodding in the right direction on one of them! :) And those pots say "popcorn" on the sides...they are for popcorn feasts...each child gets one ~ fun times! I'm so thankful that you visit here...you are a blessing!

J ~ I'm so glad you are keeping a list too! How precious! AND...the dishes with sisters ~ did you really enjoy it THEN...or just the MEMORIES of it now? LOL...I think I did my share of complaining when it was happening...funny how we look back with rose-coloured glasses! Thanks for your faithful comments..you are a blessing to me too! :)

Heather ~ Lovely to "meet" you! Thanks for stopping by...may the LORD bless you this week as well. :)

Nadine ~ I always appreciate your kind words...may the LORD bless you in your home as you seek to serve HIM this week! I am so glad you are finding things to be thankful for too...it is such a wonderful thing to do! :)

Alexis ~ Welcome! It is lovely to "meet" you! Oh YES...the machines that work for us are truly gifts! AND the piano...I know what you mean about missing it...we were married 10 years before one came into our home. I played on every piano I could get my hands on in those days! :)

Blessings,
Camille

Camille,
Sounds like such a wonderful trip you had! The aprons are so lovely. My three oldest girls love to put theirs on when we're baking or cooking, and I, too, have a composer in the house. Isn't it wonderful to hear their compositions? :)

Thanks Trisha for your visit! It was wonderful to visit my sister after being unable to for so long! I am messy in the kitchen, so an apron is a must...much more fun when they are pretty! :) How fun that you have a composer too...it is lovely to hear them create isn't it?

Have a beautiful evening!
Blessings,
Camille

Dear Camille, Emma's apron is too sweet! Did you make it or did you get it in California? I love aprons as well but find them quite hard to come by, especially pretty ones and ones for little girls. If you have any tips for finding them around here, please let me know! I do enjoy your blog a lot! Lovingly, Claudia

Dear Sharon ~ So glad you stopped by my friend! Oh I know what you mean about the LORD blessing us even when we don't deserve it...but we really don't deserve any of God's blessings, do we? HE blesses us because of the LORD and all that HE has done! How WONDERFUL!! :)

Dear Claudia ~ So lovely to hear from you! I'm so glad you are enjoying the blog...may the LORD use it for HIS glory. The apron was found in a sweet little shop in California, but I am sure you could find something similar online. Love to you and your family from us! :)

With Love,
Camille
