A Wonderful Hymn!

A Sovereign Protector I have,
Unseen, yet forever at hand,
Unchangeably faithful to save,
Almighty to rule and command.

He smiles and my comforts abound;
His grace as the dew shall descend,
And walls of Salvation surround
The souls He delights to defend.

Inspirer and hearer of prayer,
Thou Shepherd and Guardian of Thine,
My all to thy covenant care,
I sleeping and waking resign.

If Thou art my shield and my Sun,
The night is no darkness to me;
And, fast as the moments roll on,
They bring me but nearer to Thee.

Kind Author, and ground of my hope,
Thee, Thee, for my God I avow;
My glad Ebenezer set up,
And own Thou hast helped me till now.

I muse on the years that are past,
Wherein my defense Thou hast proved;
Nor wilt Thou relinquish at last
A sinner so signally loved!

Wanting What I Have said...

Beautiful. God is so faithful...in all things.

Thank you for your prayers for our family!!! I so appreciate you going before the Father on our behalf. Thank you, kind friend.

If you have the time, whether in a post or email, I would LOVE to learn of the things you have learned and the ways you would do things the same as well as differently. I am hungry to learn and the whole homeschooling thing - and really, the outcome, the goal I want to aim toward has been heavy on my heart. At the end of next year, where do we want to be? Not so much academically (which is NO DOUBT important), but her heart...in what ways do I want to invest in her heart and life...what life skills do I want to train her in...please share your lessons!!!

This hymn brought tears to my eyes. Praying for a precious woman who has only a few days left on this earth and she would quote this if she were conscious enough. Praise God for His great truth.

Dear J ~ It is our privilege to pray...how blessed we are to have HIM in common!! AND...about the schooling...I do plan to make a post or two of my thoughts...but do feel free to email if you have any questions. I cannot guarantee any earth-shattering insights, but maybe I can be of some encouragement. :) You begin in the right place and that is WITH the LORD...HE is the reason we do ANYTHING...and do remember to have FUN!! That is so important! ENJOY!!

Dear Barbara ~ How blessed we are to have access to these amazing hymns from the past. Many of them came out of deep grief or trials and life experiences...they are so rich with truth!!

Dear Heather ~ How difficult it is to watch a loved one suffer. AND yet, it is so BEAUTIFUL to see the LORD minister to those going through the valley! I will pray for your friend. May the LORD give the needed grace moment by moment.

With Love,
Camille
