What Was For Breakfast?

Not that anyone REALLY wants to know day after day what we eat, but I just had to post about these!
I found the recipe at Jennifer Jo's Blog ~ click on her name and it will take you to the recipe.

The yummiest soaked oatmeal pancakes.

I made them with whole wheat flour instead of white and used "old fashioned" rolled oats. I also added in a little vanilla extract (the real stuff) and they were FABULOUS!! I hope you enjoy them as much as we did! And FYI ~ I served them with organic strawberries that were on MAJOR sale at my little local store...Yippee! :)

Jealous! Organic strawberries that didn't cost an arm and a leg??? Our organic strawberries, from Lord knows where, sell for around $5.00 a quart. YIKES!
I went to the Jennifer Jo's blog and copied the recipe...always looking for something different for breakfast!
Today's was leftover chop suey!

LOL Cindy! I was looking at those berries longingly and then I saw the PRICE and got overly giddy with delight! We are in BC and these came from California ~ they are only in season locally for about 3 weeks of the year. (So sad).

Jennifer Jo ~ Welcome to my blog...so fun that the inspiration for this post is here "in person"! :) Oh did we ever enjoy them...thanks again for sharing the recipe.

Thanks Nadine! There's just something about fresh berries that makes the pictures come to life. :)

Jackie ~ I hope you do give them a try...they are super easy. :)

Sharon ~ Because the oats (I used old fashioned oats) are soaked they turn out nice and plump and chewy...SO good! I hope you enjoy them too! :)

Raeann ~ Unfortunately we do not have LOCAL berries yet, these are from California. BUT...they were SUCH a good deal I couldn't resist. We really had a feast of them. :)

Blessings,
Camille
